From ‘the struggle to pick up children’ to ‘peace-of-mind classes’: HT’s childcare centre for the children of employees in Shanghe launches

On October 5, 2026, the Shanghe Employee Children’s Care Center officially opened. Fully funded by HT , professionally operated by Shanghe Little Golden Elephant Aesthetic Education Company under Shandong Shangtou Holdings, and strongly supported by the Shanghe County Government, the center offers free childcare services to all active HT employees based in Shanghe.It provides after-school care on workdays, as well as childcare support on Saturdays and during winter and summer vacations. The program solves the practical difficulty of employees having no one to care for their children after school and on holidays, eases the family childcare burden, and fosters a stronger sense of belonging and well-being among every member of the HT family.
The launch of the care center fulfills a warm promise made by HT’s leadership to employees at the start of the Shanghe project. To meet staff members’ practical needs, we collected feedback repeatedly in the preparatory phase, learning about children’s school arrangements and preferred childcare hours. All childcare services were planned and arranged according to employees’ real-life situations.

The center focuses on after-school supervision and homework support, and will regularly roll out special courses including painting, public speaking and calligraphy in the future. All services ran smoothly on opening day, with well-organized arrangements for study, rest and cultural activities.Children finished their homework together in the classroom, while on-site caregivers provided one-on-one guidance to answer questions about their schoolwork.

After finishing homework, staff took the children to visit a local cultural and creative store. The kids got first-hand exposure to Shanghe’s original cultural and creative products. Combined with the exhibits, staff introduced Shanghe’s landmark sites and local specialties, helping children learn about their hometown and explore local culture through immersive on-site experience.
The most popular session of the day was the Drum Yangko experience. Shanghe is known as the “Hometown of Yangko”. Drum Yangko (Guzi Yangko) is a national intangible cultural heritage item. The children followed the instructors to practice movements and feel the rhythm, immersing themselves in the charm of this traditional local culture.
After the activity, children had meals together at the base. After lunch, curtains were drawn in the classroom for a quiet nap so they could recharge.
Once homework was completed, it was time for a relaxing afternoon tea break. The children chatted about what they had seen and experienced while enjoying snacks. Caregivers kept a close eye on them, creating a warm and cozy classroom atmosphere.
From demand surveys and school coordination to venue preparation, on-site care and meal service, the care center is designed to solve practical pain points including school pick-up and after-school childcare. Children can be picked up after school and receive proper supervision and hot meals. During operation, HT Group will maintain real-time communication with the service provider regarding childcare status. Adjustments will be made to pick-up routes, staffing arrangements and service content based on feedback and actual conditions.
Parents no longer need to worry about their children while at work. With reliable care for the kids, families can rest assured. The care center is a concrete initiative for the Group to honor its commitments and resolve real challenges for employee families. Moving forward, HT Group will keep collecting feedback from parents, continuously optimize supporting services, and ensure the smooth and stable operation of this heartwarming program.
