the annual Jinan HT Family Day
was held as scheduled at the HT Ecological Tea Garden

setting off on a tea-scented journey
Uncovering the Journey of a Single Tea Leaf
First, an engaging introduction to tea culture sparks the curiosity of both children and adults. As everyone listens and answers questions, they learn about the journey of a single tea leaf—from the tea bush to the teacup. Next, parent-child pairs sling bamboo baskets over their shoulders and head into the tea fields. Under the instructor’s guidance, they learn to identify the “one bud, one leaf” on the tea bushes, then carefully pick the tender green bud tips. Everyone then heads to the tea-making workshop to become “little tea masters,” observing the pan-firing process and trying their hand at rolling the leaves, feeling the fresh leaves gradually soften and the tea aroma slowly unfold between their fingertips.
Fun Times in the Tea Garden
After a morning of fun, a lunch featuring tea garden specialties was served right on time. The nutritious meal, balanced with meat and vegetables and paired with signature tea-inspired dishes, left everyone feeling satisfied and full of energy. After lunch, a seed-and-bead craft activity took center stage, as parent-child teams worked together to create patterns, turning the joy of the tea mountains into a keepsake to take home.
The clear tea warmed the bonds of family. As everyone gathered around the stove to brew tea, a heartwarming tea-offering ceremony brought the event to its climax. The children earnestly learned the etiquette of serving tea, walking up to their parents with cups held in both hands. Each cup of clear tea held gratitude and love, allowing feelings that had gone unspoken in daily life to flow naturally amid the wafting aroma of tea.
